This all stone property in the tiny village of Horsehouse is in a south facing position looking out across the valley in Coverdale, a lovely dale off Wensleydale, leading towards Wharfedale

The tiny hamlet of Horsehouse is very old as it is situated on an ancient trackway leading South into Nidderdale. The Church of St Botolph was originally a Chapel of Ease for Coverham Abbey and the little Inn, the Thwaite Arms (70yards from the cottage) provided a resting place for travelers changing horses or having them reshoed at the smoky, now Blacksmiths cottage.

The Thwaite Arms serves meals and as there are only a few houses in the hamlet a peaceful, restful holiday is assured. There are fantastic walks in all directions and the cottage provides the perfect base for exploring this lovely Dale.
